(Last week’s question along with the answer:) Special Question:What is the Immaculate Conception? Answer:The Immaculate Conception is the teaching of the Church that Mary received the saving grace of Jesus Christ at her conception and was therefore born without original sin. This was in preparation for her becoming the mother of Jesus: the Son of God. To put it another way. Mary received the same saving grace we receive when we are baptized. She simply received it earlier. Question #168: During the sacrament of penance, (confession) the penitent offers an "act of contrition." What is contrition? (The answer will appear in next week’s page along with a new question)
