Liturgy

Jim Conover has recently taken on the role of Coordinator for our Liturgical Ministries schedules. It is a difficult task to coordinate each person's preferences, vacations, etc. After all the work is done, the schedule is published faithfully and with little notice. Jim also prepares our volunteers to serve as Altar Severs, Readers at Holy Mass, and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. We are very thankful to Jim for his willingness to serve the Lord in this challenging and “behind the scenes” ministry.

Eric Angros has been the faithful coordinator of our First Friday observance for many years. Eric sees to all the details concerning readers, holy-hour, etc. His efforts provide us with a beautiful opportunity to pray and meditate in the Lord's presence. It is our practice to celebrate Mass every First Friday at 6:00pm followed by adoration and concluding with benediction at 7:30. You will find examples of Eric's love for our Lord and encouragement for us all to attend the First Friday liturgies through the beautiful promotional art work displayed in several places throughout the church.

In the months of May and October, we gather to pray the rosary before Mass. Eric coordinates the prayer leaders and makes sure there are rosaries and prayer guides for all. Eric does this in a quiet and efficient way. We are greatly blessed to have Eric as a powerful advocate of communal prayer.
