The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) forms a vital part of parish life. Available to all our sixth through twelfth graders, the CYO provides first and foremost an opportunity for our young people to develop friendships with other Catholic youth.
We are a geographically diverse parish, and our youth are scattered throughout the county among many different schools. It is not unusual for our young people to have little or no opportunity to be among Catholics in their own age group except during religious education and CYO activities. Communion is an important part of our faith, so it is vital for our youth to be able to spend time together and know that they are not alone.
Our youth ministers, Bridget Thew and Mary Thew bring great energy and enthusiasm to this ministry. They have many creative ideas to bring our children together. They are solid, mature, and fun-loving themselves. They serve as wonderful examples for our youth to emulate.
The schedule for CYO meetings and activities varies so please watch the Sunday bulletin or this website calendar for specifics. Every child of the parish (sixth grade through twelfth) is a member of the CYO and may participate in all activities. The cost of all CYO functions are covered by the parish for those of limited means.
If you have any questions about activities, events, or how to get involved please contact Bridget and Mary at [email protected]com or through the Blessed Sacrament Office at 865-882-9838
