All Souls envelopes will be available in the narthex for those who want the souls of their deceased loves ones remembered at the Masses during the month of November. Take an envelope, write the names of your deceased loved ones on the outside. If you give a donation (optional), put it in the envelope and place in the collection basket. If you do not make a donation just place the envelope on the altar with the others.

Answer: Ultimately, the Mass is a prayer. It is the most significant prayer of the Church. Everyone participating in the Mass can have their own personal intention. The formal Mass intention is the one the priest holds in his heart as he celebrates the Mass.
