Bishop Stika wants to inform you that the Month of February Restriction on Offering the Sign of Peace and the Distribution of Sacred Blood has Ended. The aforementioned began last weekend.
To all Saint Ann parishioners: Most of you will know Stephanie and Kevin Keller who were parishioners several years ago.
Kevin suffered a massive heart attack several of days ago. At present his heart is functioning at 35% capacity. His doctors are unsure if they can improve on that number. He is wearing a defibrillator vest and will have a permanent defibrillator installed in the near future.
As you know, Saint Ann holds a special place in Kevin and Stephanie's hearts. When Kevin is stronger, they want to come to Saint Ann for Mass and second Sunday breakfast.
Please remember Kevin and Stephanie in your prayers.
I am sure Kevin would appreciate receiving a card or note.

(Last week's question along with the answer:) Question #161: Amazingly, there are some who claim that Jesus never existed. Can you name one source (other than the Bible) that proves Jesus really existed?
Answer: First, it must be said there are no serious scholars who doubt that Jesus actually existed. Here are two historical references that refer to Jesus: 1.) Tacitus was a Roman senator and a highly respected historian. In his biography of Nero he writes about the Christians. He says their founder was Christ who was executed by Pontius Pilate. 2.) Josephus was a Jewish priest who wrote history for the Romans. In describing the martyrdom of James, the bishop of the Church in Jerusalem, he identifies James as the brother of Jesus who is called Messiah.
Question #162: Exactly what is a Mass Intention?
(The answer will appear in next week’s bulletin along with a new question)
